I attended the Whip It premier the other night - such a spectacle as always! This film is Drew Barrymore's directorial debut starring Ellen Page (Juno). The movie is centered around an indie-rock teen (Page) trying to cope with her small town misery by discovering a roller derby league in nearby Austin. Along with Page, Kristin Wiig did a great job and was of course her hilarious self, as well as the bad ass Juliette Lewis and rapper Eve. I'm Impressed! It wasn't amazing but it is def worth seeing... Not sure if any of you are interested but I have actually been to a roller derby match in Silverlake, you all should check it out - the chicks are crazy!!
